The Federal Government has added another seven suppliers to its preferred supplier list for cloud services, welcoming the likes of Thomas Duryea, Harbour IT and Dataflex to the multi-use panel.
It brings the number of suppliers on the list to 73. The Data Centre as a Service list, which was first opened in August last year, has been steadily growing in numbers since its inception.
The seven new resellers are the fifth tranche of suppliers to be added. Fuji Xerox BusinessForce, Technocrat, Vault Systems and VialP join vendors such as Telstra, IBM and HP, and resellers among the likes of UltraServe, UXC Connect and Datacom.
The 73 suppliers on the list offer 1340 cloud services to government agencies, including collaboration, virtualisation and disaster recovery solutions, worth no more than $80,000 and running no longer than one year.
Agencies are not required to use the list for the procurement of cloud services.
In February the federal Finance department announced the likes of Data#3, Dimension Data, AAPT and CSC Australia had been added to the panel.
Australian Government CTO John Sheridan declared the panel a success in October, and said Finance was considering expanding the $80,000 price cap and 12 month limit on contracts.
