Extreme Networks has appointed John Gonzalez as its country manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Gonzalez joined the company through the acquisition of Enterasys Networks; he was Australian manager of Enterasys, having previously held the role of sales director at the company.
Gonzalez is a 14-year veteran of the Enterasys having joined the company in 2000 as a pre-sales engineer based in Perth, before moving to sales and managing the western territory.
According to Gonzalez, "Our combined portfolio spans data centre networking, switching and routing, software-defined networking (SDN), wired and wireless LAN access, network management and security."
He said the merged company had already started leveraging the broader solutions portfolio in ANZ to augment offerings and service to existing and new customers.
"Extreme Networks is continuing to enhance and support the product roadmaps of both companies going forward, to protect the investments of customers and avoid any disruption to their businesses."
The company will also be adding new management roles down under, including a business development manager and an additional channel accounts manager.
