Global IT analyst firm Gartner has secured a two-year, $800,000 contract with NSW Roads and Maritime for the provision of management advisory services.
The deal is valued at $774,000 for ICT advisory services, and will run through to March 2021.
“The two year Gartner contract provides Roads and Maritime Services technology executives with ongoing access to Gartner analysts globally, which provides insights and trends for industry, best practices, and developing IT to help the agency to develop strategies and execute existing priorities,” an RMS spokesperson said.
Though Gartner was unable to reveal the specifics of the services it will provide to the department, the firm’s typical advisory services are geared at helping senior executives hit mission-critical priorities by providing, insights, advice and tools driven by research.
Roads and Maritime will cease to be an individual entity in July, when its functions are subsumed by Transport NSW.
However, a Transport NSW spokesperson told CRN the Gartner contract was not related to the amalgamation.
