Huawei Australia revealed its remaining five partner award winners at its Sydney conference Thursday evening, after giving out two in Melbourne on Tuesday.
Fujitsu Australia won the 'industry partner' gong for its work last year at Metricon Stadium, the home of the Gold Coast Suns Australian Rules football team.
Huawei, which is a major sponsor of the AFL team, said that the "high density" public wi-fi network for the venue was deployed promptly in difficult circumstances.
"Contract signature to go-live for 25,000 fans was achieved in just 90 days, during the AFL playing season - a stunning example of professional program management," announced the vendor.
The Huawei Enterprise Partner Conference, held at Darling Harbour, also saw Wagga's PDK win a 'solution breakthrough' award. Among other achievements, PDK was recognised for "Australia’s largest deployment of Huawei UC&C - an 88-site nationwide solution for a well-known employment services company", according to the vendor.
Western Australia partner R Group also took out a 'solution breakthrough' award, for its installation of "the first Huawei DOCSIS (IP-over-coax) solution in a mining campus" and providing "wi-fi high-speed access for users as well as IPTV services".
Multinational cloud service provider CT4 won the partner growth award for utilising Huawei networking, compute and storage to create its "customised PaaS, IaaS solutions" - offerings that serve more than 12000 users in the Asia-Pacific.
Huawei honoured North Sydney networking specialist Tecco Technology with the 'capability development' award for engineer Chris Wang's feat in becoming the first Huawei Certified Internetwork Expert in Australia. Tecco is also the first 5-star Huawei telco service provider in the country.
On Tuesday night in Melbourne, Southern Cross Computer Systems was revealed as the winner of the 'integrated solution' award and Box Hill Institute as the 'information and network academy' partner of the year.
The Melbourne and Sydney conferences this week also saw Huawei announce a range of new incentive programs for partners plus the unveiling of two new distributors.
