Storage giant EMC has seen its channel business expand across Australia and New Zealand, with a greater focus on specialisations in the pipeline.
David Henderson (pictured), general manager of partners and alliances for A/NZ at EMC, told CRN its channel business has grown by 69 percent since last August.
“For channel partners there are very few market segments that is showing such a rapid growth rate. I believe EMC is grafting a different channel model, as we are sensitive to the profitability of our partners,” he said.
Henderson claimed EMC enables its partners to deliver services across the vendor’s entire portfolio.
“The number of partners we work with is driven by a vertical and geographical perspective. For A/NZ in major metropolitan areas we have sufficient coverage, but we are looking to expand regionally.”
Henderson added EMC’s drive for 2007 is to work with partners on aligned market specialisations.
