Dematic, Mobiledock partner to improve loading dock efficiency

Supply chain automation specialist Dematic has inked an ANZ deal with Mobiledock, a specialised provider of loading dock and yard management technology.

The partnership is intended to help local businesses optimise logistics operations at what it said is one of the most critical points in the supply chain – the loading dock.

The goal of the partnership is to help customers reduce congestion, improve labour efficiency and gain operational insights.

The partnership brings together Dematic’s expertise in end-to-end supply chain optimisation with Mobiledock’s automated loading dock appointment scheduling and execution platform.

This will aim to enable customers to better coordinate vehicle arrivals, site access, and dock operations while improving visibility, utilisation, and security.

“Loading dock operations are complex, involving physical movement, hardware and software systems, and directly impact throughput, employee safety, and customer outcomes,” said Lee Koutsos, director of connected workforce solutions and Colby Storage Solutions ANZ at Dematic.

“Mobiledock’s focus on optimising dock and yard operations aligns strongly with Dematic’s approach to improving supply chain performance using best-of-breed technologies. This partnership supports our continued commitment to innovation and enables us to bring greater value to customers across the ANZ market.”

“Working with Dematic allows us to connect loading dock and yard execution more closely with the broader supply chain,” said David Sanders, chief executive at Mobiledock.

“Together, we can help customers move beyond manual coordination and fragmented visibility, and instead operate with greater confidence, control, and efficiency at scale.”

Mobiledock’s platform is already used by companies including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Snack Brands Australia, and Petbarn, where it is used to manage vehicle arrivals, improve loading dock utilisation, and provide a more structured, data-driven approach to logistics.

Last year, Dematic introduced its Connected Workforce Platform for the supply chain market, a flexible software layer that integrates with existing warehouse systems and devices, designed to give businesses a clearer view of their operations.
