A US startup that specialises in intelligent machine learning has opened an Australian office.
Adatos builds and deploys intelligent machines for real-world applications. The company said the technology was originally classified because it was developed by the US intelligence community for use in national security and counterterrorism.
California-headquartered Adatos, which has a Singapore site, has now expanded to Sydney. ANZ director David Perez and Australia manager Paul Dovas will head the local office.
Founder Drew Perez said the technology has a proven track record and has been continuously improved by its use in intelligence operations.
“The technology has been kept a trade secret, but can now be leveraged by local marketers, data scientists or anyone dealing with big data, as it has been declassified,” he said.
Adatos’ technology analyses structured and unstructured data so users can recognise patterns and gain insights into the future.
These insights can be used to answer complex questions, solve specific problems and inform business decisions, according to Adatos.
Adatos said its machines are “particularly advanced compared to other machine-learning analytic methods because they are self-learning and self-evolving, making them faster and more efficient”.
