DDLS to offer TAFE-style IT courses through Australian Institute of ICT relaunch

Learning specialist IT solutions provider DDLS has relaunched tertiary education provider The Australian Institute of ICT, offering TAFE-style nationally accredited IT courses.

The AIICT will offer two courses at launch, a Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50118) and Diploma of Website Development (ICT50615), with more planned in 2020.

DDLS acquired AIICT in 2018 in a bid to expand into the consumer market, redeveloping the provider’s course materials with the new courses planned.

“DDLS has traditionally serviced corporate Australia for their IT training needs so diversifying into the consumer market and providing accredited training to new entrants is a natural progression,” DDLS and AIICT chief executive Jon Lang said.

“We see a huge opportunity in the Australian market to provide the same high-quality programs to this new audience, that our DDLS customers have come to love over our 30-year history.”

AIICT also leverages the registered training organisation (RTO) status of DDLS sister company Everthought Education to deliver IT courses to consumers, while also leveraging DDLS’ IT knowledge, experience and vendor partnerships.

The relaunch is also part of DDLS’ expansion plans in Asia-Pacific, which started in March with its launch in the Philippines.
