Data#3 predicts over 40% rise in 1H FY27 profit

Data#3 has flagged that it expects first-half FY27 net profit before tax to rise more than 40% above the $33.5 million it recorded in 1H FY26, with gross profit also expected to come in more than 15% ahead of the prior corresponding period.

The ASX-listed IT services and solutions provider said the strong start to the year had been driven by one-off larger transactions, increased activity across its infrastructure and software solutions businesses, and the timing of planned investment spend.

The company also flagged approximately $1.5 million in interest income above expectation, attributed to favourable cash flow timing in the first quarter of FY27.

Data#3 cautioned the outperformance includes significant non-recurring items, and said net profit before tax is expected to be skewed to the first half for the full year. The company said it nonetheless expects to deliver sustained earnings growth for FY27 overall.

The prior year's first-half result had been impacted by the previously announced changes to Microsoft incentive structures, which the company said weighed on the 1H FY26 comparison figure.

Data#3 noted the final interim result remains subject to the execution and timing of forecast business through to 31 December 2026, completion of interim accounts and audit review.

The company said it will provide a business update at its annual general meeting on 28 October 2026, with the full 1H FY27 results and interim dividend announcement scheduled for 22 February 2027.
