Melbourne-based cybersecurity provider ctrl:cyber (Ctrl) has appointed Peter Sherar as CFO.
He will lead Ctrl’s financial strategy, investment planning, and commercial oversight, supporting the company’s continued expansion and long-term ambitions.
He previously served as CFO of technology-driven investor administration and services company Automotic Group and, before that, technology services provider Ampion.
He has also held CFO roles at M&J Chickens, Planit Testing and SMS Management & Technology.
Ctrl CEO Steve Williams said Sherar's deep experience will be invaluable as the company continues to grow, scale, and navigate ever evolving market dynamics.
"With a focus on ambitious growth and maximising ctrl:cyber's momentum, Peter will play a key role in shaping the future direction of Ctrl - ensuring lasting impact and excellence across our community," he said.
Sherar said he has been impressed by the talent and drive across ctrl:cyber.
"Steve and the team bring sharp focus and clarity to protecting Australian businesses in a complex threat environment," he said.
"I’m looking forward to supporting the continued growth of our leading Risk Operations Centre and cyber services."
