CommTel Network Solutions has had its 1998 frame agreement extended with Nokia Siemens Network.
Under the agreement, CommTel will continue to provide Nokia Siemens Networks access and transport solutions such as the PDH Dynanet family, FlexiHopper Microwave radio and Broadband DSLAM family.
The agreement was signed in Melbourne by Mika Vehvilainen, chief operating officer at Nokia Siemens Networks and Robert Green, managing director at CommTel Network Solutions.
Simon Mackey, custom networks at Nokia Siemens Networks said as part of our plan for the region, the vendor has nominated CommTel as a preferred channel for sales and services for the equipment offered to target new markets and customers in power, utility, mining and transport.
"Our VAR model continues to be a successful approach in addressing a wider accessible market for our product portfolio, allowing us to focus on our key target customers,” said Mackey.
CommTel Network Solutions has been the value added reseller (VAR) for the former Nokia Networks in Australia and New Zealand since 1998, he said.
