Cisco's Rodney Hamill has been promoted to managing director – south, leading the sales teams across Victoria, ACT and Tasmania, while Mary Armstrong has been elevated to Cisco’s director of sales; service, software and growth acceleration.
Hamill has served as the MD for partner and routes to market sales for ANZ since November of 2021, and prior to this, has held such roles as director of the cloud infrastructure and software group for ANZ and the GM of cloud for ANZ in his 16 years at the company.
For Armstrong, she moves onto her new role after over four years as regional manager for partner sales Cisco ANZ.
During her 13-year-plus stint at the company, she's also held positions such as distribution partner account manager, partner service development manager and virtual sales leader, partner sales for APJC.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the move, Hamill said the new job brings him closer to customers across the region in what he described as “an extraordinary time for technology and innovation.”
"For almost five years, I’ve had the privilege of leading Cisco ANZ’s Partner organisation. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience—working alongside an exceptional team and a partner ecosystem that continually raises the bar," he said.
"Together, we delivered Cisco 360, navigated significant change, and built enduring relationships across our business and the industry. I’m immensely proud of what we achieved and, above all, grateful for the people who made the journey so meaningful.
"I’ll carry the lessons, relationships and momentum from the past five years into this new role. I can’t wait to re-engage with customers across the South region and help them seize the opportunity ahead."
Armstrong said in a LinkedIn post that she is excited to apply her experience to this new challenge.
“My team will cover everything from Business Development across key industries to value realisation of our technology to support customers in achieving the business outcomes they set out to address.
"I want to extend a huge thank you to my colleagues and amazing partners that I have been lucky enough to work with while in the Partner Organisation. I have been part of the partner business or working directly with partners for the better part of my Cisco career – it is definitely part of my DNA."
