Cirrus Networks has landed a managed service contract with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, a 2500-staff cancer research, education and treatment centre based in Melbourne.
Also known as Peter Mac, the client is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer.
Cirrus will manage network services, including IP network carriage and telephony services, across Peter Mac’s new Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) building.
The contract also extends to infrastructure support for Peter Mac’s four additional campus sites across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The contract was set to commence immediately, and also includes performance, business continuity and availability targets.

Perth-headquartered Cirrus expanded its operations to Melbourne in March last year after acquiring NGage Technology Group for $2.5 million, bringing together two high-performers from the CRN Fast50 awards.
Cirrus placed third in the 2017 Fast 50 list after posting 176 percent revenue growth, raking in $53.9 million for the year. NGage most recently held the 10th spot in the 2016 Fast 50 before being acquired.
Earlier this month, Cirrus’s Western Australia business won a storage contract with Racing and Wagering Western Australia, the state’s regulator for metropolitan and country Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound racing.
In the announcement, Cirrus said its Western Australian business continues to be “the engine room”, with growing market share as a “provider of choice” in major market sectors such as resources, financials, education, health and not for profit community services.
