Check Point launches reseller reward program

The musical themed 'Rocks the Box' rewards employees of resellers for every eligible Check Point software appliance sale they make.

The program, which started on March 16, will run until September 18, 2009.

As part of the scheme, for every dollar sold the employee gets one 'Check Point', which can be redeemed to claim Prepaid VISA cards up to the value of $5,000.

Scott McKinnel, regional director A/NZ said the program will engage with resellers who may not have sold its solutions before.

The company has 48 accredited partners including DiData, Alphawest, IBM, Bridge Point and EDS.

"Given the current economic climate, the best incentive program is cash," said McKinnel.

"A lot of the management of the program will be done through our distributor Westcon. The idea is to take all the onus off the reseller community and keep it as simple as we can."

McKinnel added that the program opens up an opportunity for resellers who take the time to understand their customer challenges use this knowledge to provide the correct solutions to meet customer's business needs.

There are 11 Check Point appliances in the program across three product lines:

  • Check Point UTM-1 Total Security appliances, solutions to secure business networks in a simple, cost-effective way
  • Check Point Power-1 appliances, which enable organisations to maximise security in high-performance environments such as large campuses or data centres
  • Check Point VSX-1 appliances, a virtualised security gateway
