CES: Dell launches "super-charged" Streak tablet

Dell has launched a 7in version of the Streak, powered by a new dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor.

This level of power should allow it cope with more demanding websites, and with support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1

Dell is expecting the Streak 7 to be used just like a normal PC.

The US version also supports 4G phone networks, but the UK version will have to make do with 3G and 802.11n Wi-Fi.

The Streak 7 will be available immediately in the US, but international customers will have to wait a few weeks.

At launch, the Streak 7 will run Android 2.2, and it will use the same Dell Stage interface as on the original Dell Streak with Android 2.2.

A Dell blog said the device has dual cameras, including a 5 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and would have up to 32 GB of internal storage.

More to follow.
