Capgemini’s Australia and New Zealand business head Nicolas Aidoud has departed the professional services and consulting firm to “pursue new opportunities” after two years in the role.
The company has promoted regional chief operating officer Olaf Pietschner to take his place.
"With over two decades with the Capgemini Group, I will be leaving Capgemini to embark on a new and exciting journey in Australia," Aidoud announced on LinkedIn.
"I am grateful for the many opportunities that Capgemini has provided me during this time. I am delighted to handover the CEO role to Olaf Pietschner and wish all the success."
Aidoud departs having held executive roles with Capgemini since 2000 between France and Australia, with one stop working at UK-based marketing and advertising firm Carat.
Pietschner takes on his new role after being named Capgemini ANZ chief operating officer and executive vice president in May 2017, following eight years as the chief information officer of Origin Energy and five years as group director of technology at News Corp.
Pietschner has led Capgemini's energy and utilities, public sector and telecommunications, media and entertainment businesses, while also working for its intelligent technology offerings.
“I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead Capgemini in Australia and New Zealand as we continue to build on our momentum for growth,” Pietschner said.
“With over 2000 employees working with our clients in the top 50 ASX listed companies and major public sector organisations, we will continue to leverage our investments in digital and cloud, taking a client-centric approach to drive our clients’ innovation priorities for real business outcomes.”
“Olaf has been a key member of our executive team and is a proven leader with extensive industry experience and operational expertise,” Capgemini Asia Pacific and Middle East executive chairman Luc-Francois Salvador said.
“As we move forward into the next phase of our continued transformation and growth, Olaf’s extensive experience in business, technology consulting and digital transformation will strengthen our innovation agenda to address the business ambitions of our clients, aligning our service portfolio with customer demand for both innovation and competitiveness.”
