Brocade has appointed Matt Kolon as the new CTO for the Asia Pacific region as the vendor aims to bring together its technology strategy and regional roadmap.
Kolon starts at Brocade following recent roles at Cisco, where he was the managing director for the Evolved Programmable Network business in Asia Pacific and CTO for service providers.
In his new role Kolon will oversee Brocade's technology strategy and its product road map within the Asia Pacific. Kolon will report to vice president for Asia Pacific, Adam Judd, and will be based in Beijing.
Judd said: "2014 will be the year where service providers, specifically those in APAC, start to test and deploy SDN in their data centers to drive growth and innovation for their businesses.
"Matt is an industry visionary who has been working closely with customers and partners in APAC in understanding their needs and transforming their networks."
