VoIP provider BroadIP said it had signed around 50 resellers to supply customer its services in one week and claimed it would recruit another 200 by July 2006.
The new market entrant is offering free hardware rental on an unlimited $49.99 monthly plan.
Vaz Hovanessian, chairman of BroadIP's parent company ASX-listed, Broad Investments, said there was a surge in demand from voice and voice carriage resellers.
"We do not have to give away free accounts like other VoIP providers to get customers. Our strategy is bottom line driven,” he said.
The initial outlay for VoIP hardware can cost consumers up to $250, he claimed.
Hardware rental is available on all plans including BroadIP's $19.99 per month plan, which is limited to 200 minutes of calls per month.
BroadIP is also offering a seven-day money back guarantee if customers are not satisfied with their service.
Customers can also cancel their contract and return their equipment if BroadIP has not saved them money after their first invoice, the company said.
