The Brisbane company formerly known as Wardy IT Services has entered voluntary administration.
McLeod & Partners was appointed administrator on 23 June for XCGV Services, a Wardy Group company.
Wardy Group consists of Wardy IT Solutions, MOC Training and Mr CRM, as well as XCGV.
XCGV was first registered in June 2011 as Wardy IT Services with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). In April this year, the company changed its name to XCGV Services.
Wardy Group managing director Peter Ward told CRN that the group's SQL Server business has been expanding into other parts of the Microsoft stack and into the USA, and told of recent acquisitions of The Cloud Classroom and Mr CRM.
However, he didn't directly address the voluntary administration of XCGV, other than citing a "restructure".
"As a result of this expansion and our reach into the US we are currently undertaking a corporate restructure," he told CRN.
The administrator declined to comment as its investigation was in its early stages.
While Ward declined to comment on the role of XCGV in relation to the other Wardy Group companies, Brisbane's Wardy IT is a well-known brand in the channel.
Wardy IT was a finalist in the 'Excellence in Business Insights and Data' category in last year's Microsoft Australia Partner Awards. In 2013, the Brisbane reseller was named Microsoft Australia Business Intelligence Partner of the Year and also Data Platform Partner of the Year.
In February, CRN reported that the reseller rolled out a new analytics platform for A2 Milk, giving the company access to its global sales revenues and analytics with hourly reports.
In the financial year ending June 2015, Wardy IT Solutions raked in $8.4 million of revenue - recording 30 percent growth from the previous year.
