Brisbane-based reseller SureBridge names new GM
Stephen Riley

Brisbane-based IT solution provider SureBridge has promoted Stephen Riley to general manager.

Riley joined SureBridge in 2011 as a sales support manager and created a pre-sales team structure backing the sales team.

"The focus is to grow in a specific manner. We really want to re-establish ourselves in Queensland and build a really good reputation," said Riley.

In 2013, Riley was promoted to corporate services and services delivery manager, in 2015 to operations general manager and in July 2016 to the company's general manager.

SureBridge managing director and chief executive Rick Brown said: "Stephen was given many challenges during his years with the company. He was given the challenge to take over the managed services team two years ago and he turned it around and made it efficient. He was then given the opportunity to look after the projects team and did a great job."

According to Brown, the past year was challenging. "It was hard but we came on the other side a better and smarter company. Stephen helped to make that happen and was rewarded."

Riley has the challenge of turning the $20 million revenue company into a $40 million one in the years to come.

In 2010, SureBridge decided to build its own cloud and offer a safe environment for local companies as an Australian owned cloud that complies with the privacy acts.

SureBridge started in 1992 selling hardware and later started focusing on storage and assisting with the first data centres in the region connecting HDS and Dell equipment.
