Blue Coat signs M.Tech in Oz

Blue Coat Systems has extended its regional distribution partnership with M.Tech to Australia, it announced today.

As a result of the deal, M.Tech has become the vendor's third distributor in Australia, joining Distribution Central and Express Data.

Rajeev Mitroo,  managing director for Australia and New Zealand for Blue Coat Systems, said the breadth of the company's application monitoring, WAN optimisation and security offerings allowed for a third distie.

"The solution portfolio from Blue Coat has expanded...it's the breadth of it that's important," he said.

"I would call M.Tech the application delivery network focused distributor for Blue Coat," he said.  

Mitroo said M.Tech already has three qualified engineers in Australia.

"They've made sure that they've entered the marketplace with qualified staff," he said.
