Going against the recent trend towards in-world closures , Telstra said the initiative was driven by the popularity of Second Life among BigPond customers.
The kiosk will be available every Monday to Friday from 11 am to 10 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time.
BigPond group managing director, Justin Milne, claimed the kiosk was an example of Telstra ‘pioneering new ways to provide an exceptional level of sales and support to our customers through as many channels as possible’.
BigPond Second Life claims to have ‘around 100,000’ registered members.
BigPond has 16 islands in Second Life and five of these are exclusively residential islands.
