AWS renews software licencing contract with Australian Digital Health Agency

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been awarded a contract worth $7 million by the Australian Digital Health Agency in relation to security software licencing.

"This contract is for the renewal of software licenses, supporting the Agency’s cloud and security environment as part of national digital health infrastructure," an Digital Health Agency spokesperson told techpartner.news.

"The licences were procured via the whole-of-government arrangement, facilitated by the Digital Transformation Agency and in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules."

The contract, which began on 20 May of this year, runs through to 19 May 2029.

Last year, the Digital Transformation Agency renewed its government-wide cloud sourcing arrangement with AWS for another three years.

Tasked with improving health outcomes for Australians through the delivery of digital healthcare systems and the national digital health strategy for Australia, the Australian Digital Health Agency commenced operations on 1 July 2016.
