Australian IT solutions provider Expert Solutions Providers (ESP) has snapped up value-added reseller IT Domains as it moves to increase its presence in the garden state.
IT Domains, which provides a range of Microsoft solutions, will move its 50 customers over to ESP over the next three months.
ESP CEO Bruce Kennedy said his company approached IT Domains due to its strong business synergies and shared service offerings.
"Their method of doing business aligns quite well with ours. Their customer base was also a great fit," Kennedy told CRN.
"It's the cleanest managed service provider I've ever seen in terms of process, right down to their bookkeeping. It's just an immaculately well kept company."
According to Kennedy, one of the key drawcards IT Domains brought to the table was its ability to service Victorian customers.
"They have additional resources and areas of expertise in that area [that we lack]."
Kennedy said the acquisition would not result in any staff departures, rather two additional employees would join the IT Domains office.
IT Domains director Anjel Topor said the acquisition would allow IT Domains to deliver a new breed of services to its existing customers.
“As well as being able to leverage the ESP reach and capability, our customers will now have access to enterprise level services at SMB prices,” he said in a statement.
IT Domains will continue to run from its Bentleigh East location for the next few months. Both companies will then physically merge at a new location.
"We've only got a small amount of time on the lease there, so we'll be relocating to somewhere that makes more sense," Kennedy said. "[ESP's] lease is coming to an end as well so we'll probably be looking for a completely new building in a CBD location."
Kennedy declined to disclose the cost of the deal, but confirmed it was an all cash acquisition.
