Australian-based Financial Management and Payroll software vendor Attaché was acquired last week, by UK small business software company Access Group.
Attaché has operated for over 30 years and has 2,800-plus customers in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
Access offers a product named “Workspace” that combines business functions such as marketing, project management, care management, supply chain management and more. The company already has a small presence in the region, but saw Attaché as offering both complementary product and a bigger Australasian footprint to help the global expansion plans that have seen in make multiple recent acquisitions.
Access Group CEO Chris Bayne said “The addition of Attaché establishes a significant foundation for us to launch into the Australasian marketplace and commences the process of extending Access’s success in the mid-market business software sector beyond our home base in the UK.”
Mike Rich, MD and co-founder of Attaché, expressed confidence “that Access is the right company to help build on all we have achieved so far with Attaché. Access shares our passion for delivering excellent solutions and service to our clients and combined we will have the strongest suite of tools for mid-market businesses in the region.”
Rich also predicted the deal would be good for Attaché’s channel.
“Our partners will love it as we start to roll out solutions for eight different sectors next year,” he told CRN.
