Artis Group has acquired NSW-based IT services firm Help Base as it kicks off an expansion strategy of its managed services business lines.
The cash deal creates a combined entity exceeding $27 million turnover. Help Base, specialises in providing network management and webhosting services.
Help Base is Artis' first acquisition in a bid to meet its growth objectives. Through the acquisition all staff will retain their positions and benefits, the company said.
Help Base managing director Andrew Morrell will take on a senior service delivery role, ensuring his clients transition smoothly to the combined entity in the coming weeks.
"We look forward to bringing the combined capabilities of Help Base and Artis to our larger combined client base" added Andrew Morrell.
Artis chief executive officer Peter Giudes said the company is "delighted" to combine two organisations that share so much in common.
"We're excited about this next stage in our growth plans and introducing Help Base clients to our enhanced service offerings," said Giudes.
"It equips us with a cloud computing strategy complementing our Microsoft Gold Certification and IBM Premier Business Partner status."
"Both organisations share responsiveness and commitment to delivery and as a result enjoy long standing client relationships," he said.
