The Australian ICT industry including technology partners, vendors and distributors celebrated stand-out projects, people and innovations last night at the Amazon Web Services-sponsored 2025 techpartner.news Impact Awards.

The finalists’ work ranged from the first large-scale HPE Aruba Networking Unified SASE deployment in the Asia–Pacific region, a project that cut a superannuation provider’s platform spend by 90 percent and improving performance by 50 percent, and delivery of a sovereign AI and data platform to enable advanced research, analytics and innovation across Northern Queensland.

Partner Project Awards

Customer Experience Award:

The winner is Tecala, for automating the quote generation process for IQumulate, a fintech that helps customers spread their insurance premium payments. The initiative – known as Project 350 – enabled IQumulate to deliver faster, more responsive service to brokers and prospective customers.

Highly commended is Digital61, for its collaboration with the Clean Energy Regulator to implement its VelocityOps approach to IT operations. The project improved service desk performance, strengthened security monitoring through Microsoft Sentinel, and transformed IT services.

Workforce Empowerment Award

The winner is Dynamic Square, for helping AVet Health implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and helping to unify operations and equip staff with modern tools, resulting in faster reporting, smarter planning and assisting compliance.

Highly commended is Ericom, for transforming IT service delivery across 18 sites for YSAS. Ericom implemented a multi-layered solution including SD-WAN, Microsoft Cloud and Teams Voice, empowering internal IT staff and enabling more flexible and secure services aligned with day-to-day workflows.

Modernising Infrastructure Award

The winner is RES. Business IT, for transforming Reward Hospitality’s outdated infrastructure by migrating core systems to Microsoft Azure, replacing MPLS with SD-WAN, and introducing zero-trust security. The project enabled faster site integration, greater scalability and reduced risk across 27 locations in the Asia–Pacific.

Highly Commended is Precision IT, for deploying the  Zephyr Plus fully managed infrastructure platform to modernise and secure the IT environment for people2people. The project streamlined communications, introduced automation, and delivered enterprise-grade security aligned with Essential Eight maturity, supporting the company’s secure international expansion.

Network Evolution Award

The winner is Productivity, for delivering the first large-scale HPE Aruba Networking Unified SASE deployment in the Asia–Pacific region. This groundbreaking project replaced legacy MPLS infrastructure, setting a new benchmark for secure and modern network architecture in the region.

Data Modernisation Award

The winner is Arinco, for transforming Brighter Super’s Azure Databricks environment to address rising cloud costs and performance bottlenecks. The project cut platform spend by 90 percent and improved performance by 50 percent – delivering a future-ready, streamlined platform built on Lakehouse best practices.

Highly commended is Ethan Group, for delivering a sovereign AI and data platform for NQ Spark. As the selected High-Performance Computing provider, Ethan Group enabled advanced research, analytics and innovation across Northern Queensland – supporting regional growth, digital transformation and national data sovereignty goals.

ESG Award

The winner is Renew IT, for launching the world’s first 3D printer filament line made from e-waste plastic. By turning discarded ABS and PETG plastics into high-quality filament, Renew IT is pioneering a circular solution for e-waste and reshaping sustainability in the tech manufacturing industry.

Innovation Award

The winner is SixPivot, for developing SocialProtect, an AI-powered platform designed to protect social media users from online abuse. The platform monitors and removes harmful content in real time across multiple platforms, and is now trusted by journalists, politicians, sports teams, media personalities, schools and major brands.

Business Transformation Award

The winner is Fuse Technology, for enabling A.E. Smith’s complete IT separation from Downer Group after more than a century under the larger organisation. With just three months to stand up a secure, independent environment for 500 users across multiple states, the project was delivered on time and in full – positioning A.E. Smith for long-term, independent growth.

Highly commended is Dynamic Aspect, for helping Ausgroup Industrial Services unify its post-acquisition operations through an AI-powered ERP deployment. Using Wiise, Jet Reports and Shop Floor Insight, the solution transformed decision-making, improved visibility and boosted shop floor productivity.

Partner of the Year

The winner is Fuse Technology.

The winner is Kaseya, for its global partner program which has driven its partners to achieve exceptional profit margins—150% to 250% higher compared to industry averages—through initiatives like the TruPeer mentoring community. Vendor–Partner Impact Award
This award recognises vendors who drive significant growth, profitability, and strategic value for their partners. 

The winner is ConnectWise , which empowered technology service providers globally to achieve four times faster growth, 10% higher recurring revenue, and 17% greater profitability compared to their peers. Through dedicated partner programs, personalised coaching, targeted sales enablement, and strategic investments such as co-branded marketing funds, they have strengthened partner relationships and significantly elevated partner success.

Vendor–Distributor Impact Award
The Vendor–Distributor Impact Award recognises powerful vendor-distributor collaborations that significantly shape market success and drive business innovation. 

The winner is Dell Technologies, which, through a strategic partnership with Dicker Data, achieved exceptional 91% year-over-year growth in its server business, positioning Dicker Data as Australia's leading AI infrastructure distributor. Innovative initiatives like their groundbreaking Mini-AI Factory—achieving an outstanding 40% conversion rate from proof-of-concept to deployment—have dramatically accelerated AI adoption in healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. This collaboration sets new benchmarks for distributor enablement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Vendor–Leadership Impact Award
The Vendor–Leadership Impact Award recognises exceptional leadership that transforms channel strategies and drives outstanding growth. 

The winner is Victor Guerrero, NinjaOne, who has transformed their company’s partner ecosystem across APAC, achieving an impressive 166% year-over-year increase in partner-led revenue. Through strategic vision and relentless commitment—traveling over 480,000 kilometers in 2024 alone—Victor successfully transitioned their organisation to a fully channel-led model, expanding significantly into Australia, India, Southeast Asia, and Japan through tailored strategies and global partnerships.

Distributor–Partner Impact Award
The Distributor–Partner Impact Award recognises distributors whose collaboration with partners delivers meaningful market outcomes and societal benefits. 

The winner is Dicker Data, who’s partnership with Intergy Consulting revolutionised healthcare delivery, enabling the launch of AI-powered Medicare billing solutions that boosted GP revenues by up to 43% per clinic annually. Through proactive technical support, strategic guidance, and direct access to global Microsoft resources, they helped overcome systemic barriers and accelerated the commercialisation of transformative solutions like the Billing Optimisation and Support Software, significantly improving healthcare access.Shape 

Distributor–Leadership Impact Award
The Distributor–Leadership Impact Award honours individuals whose leadership transforms teams, fosters innovation, and profoundly influences channel success. 

The winner is Hope McGarry, Ingram Micro, a respected industry leader who has reshaped team culture and driven substantial business growth by championing customer-centric practices and initiating strategic vendor partnerships. Through initiatives like the Vendor Management Learning and Development Framework and passionate advocacy for diversity and inclusion, Hope has significantly elevated team capability, earning prestigious vendor accolades. In recognition of these exceptional achievements and influential leadership, she was appointed as executive Managing Director in March of this year.

Distributor–Partner Enablement Award 
The Distributor–Partner Enablement Award recognises distributors who deliver outstanding enablement initiatives, resulting in meaningful partner growth, specialisation, and market impact. 

The winner is Dicker Data, which partnered with Microsoft to launch a landmark national enablement initiative, delivering over 1,000 immersive sessions spanning AI, cybersecurity, modern work, and cloud solutions. Through innovative gamified learning experiences and tailored instructor-led training, they successfully certified over 500 individuals across 50+ partners nationwide—including regional communities like Alice Springs and Coffs Harbour. With a $2 million investment, this enablement drive significantly accelerated partner specialisation, boosted cybersecurity solution adoption by 250%, and unlocked substantial new revenue streams, setting a new benchmark for inclusive and impactful partner enablement.Shape

Distributor–Vendor Impact Award 
The Distributor–Vendor Impact Award honours outstanding collaborations between distributors and vendors that drive scalable market success, partner transformation, and measurable customer outcomes. 

The winner is Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX Company , which has played a pivotal role in advancing Microsoft’s strategic objectives across the channel—empowering partners with prescriptive guidance, scalable enablement programs, and expert-led support that simplifies complexity and accelerates execution. Their tailored approach to cloud migration, platform enablement, and operational excellence has helped partners evolve into high-performing Technology Solution Providers. A standout example includes supporting a partner’s successful Azure migration project through early access to Microsoft’s Cloud Migration Factory—delivered on time, within budget, and with clear ROI. From crisis response to long-term transformation, this distributor has consistently demonstrated what’s possible when vendor alignment is matched with local insight and global reach.
