Adobe and Microsoft deepen their cloud partnership with document, productivity deal

Adobe and Microsoft have reached an agreement to make Adobe Sign the “preferred e-signature solution” across Microsoft’s portfolio, while also making Microsoft Teams the “preferred chat-based workspace” for Adobe Cloud Services.

This agreement is the latest between the two software giants in the last 12 months. In March they agreed to share sales and marketing data, and in September 2016 agreed to make Microsoft Azure as the preferred host of the Adobe Creative Cloud.

“Adobe and Microsoft are working together to redefine what the modern enterprise experience looks like with collaboration, identity, data and intelligence at the core,” Adobe CTO Abhay Parasnis said.

“Together we will develop integrated cloud services with best-in-class solutions like Adobe Sign and Office 365 that help businesses digitally transform while delivering great experiences to their customers,” Parasnis added.

The first few integrated products are now available, while a few more others will be rolling out in “the coming weeks.”

Adobe Sign for Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint has already been rolled out, while the Adobe Sign integrations with other selected Microsoft products and the integration of Microsoft Teams with Adobe Creative Cloud will be available soon after.

“We’re thrilled that our partnership with Adobe has now grown to span our three clouds — Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365 — providing customers with the powerful integrations they need to navigate digital transformation,” said Peggy Johnson, EVP of business development for Microsoft.
