Backup and disaster recovery vendor Acronis has launched a new partner program to drive deeper engagement with its reseller and distribution partners.
Headline changes to the Acronis partner program are increased deal registration rates, marketing development funds, free sales and technical training, support and access to special promotions.
Deal registration can be performed through the vendor's partner portal, and there is a threshold figure to meet deal registration requirements, according to Acronis. Partners would receive an extra percentage cut from bringing in net new business, tiered according to their partner level.
The program will serve partners in three tiers: authorised, gold and platinum.
Recently appointed Australian and New Zealand general manager Neil Morarji said achieving the higher tiers was more attractive than ever.
"There is a great advantage to reaching gold and platinum partnership tiers because at this level Acronis assigns a partner manager, helping partners with lead generation, training, event planning, special incentives and more," he said.
"At these levels partners also have access to a pre sales engineer, who when needed, can attend meetings, do presentations and be an extension of the partner's sales team."
Morarji added that the partner program had been redesigned for ease of use in securing increased margin and profits.
“Previously, we had various incentives for various products, including margin, rebates, deal registration and accelerators. Now we are making it simple – straightforward margins and rebates based on the level of partner in the program,” he said.
Acronis’ current major business solution is Acronis’ Backup 12.5, which the vendor says offers protection of workloads in more than 20 different environments including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Red Hat, Citrix, Oracle and mobile operating systems.
