CRN: You've said government is looking at VDI – any takeaways?
Michael Thompson, Ethan Group: A lot of the time with VDI solutions, you can go and buy a very cheap Chinese box, but what we find in government specially is that they won’t go down that path. Because they’re buying a VDI solution, they want a company to support it, provide advice, support and all those sort of things, and they’re actually critical to the VDI solution.
We’ve seen this where a company’s come in, sold you the cheap box, but 12 months later it’s changed from Windows 7 to [hypothetically] Windows 10 and you need support to keep the solution running. So a lot of customers plan to run their thin client devices for six to eight years and in some government departments, they have Wyse boxes that have been in operation a decade.
