Panasonic updates Toughbook range

Panasonic has launched the new Toughbook CF-C1, the 12.1 inch convertible tablet PC. It has also launched other Toughbook models for a range of non-heavy industries, such as corporate and healthcare.

Panasonic claimed the CF-C1 weighs 1.47 kilos and included multi-touch screen functionality. It also featured a shock-mounted, 250GB hard drive with quick-release and an Intel Core i5-520M vPro Processor.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-C1 is $3299.

This is Panasonic's second generation Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA)device, a fanless tablet designed with no open ports. The CF-H1 MkII can be sanitised with hospital-grade disinfectant, reducing the spread of infection, Panasonic claimed.

Panasonic said it is a mobile tool, designed to be carried, and weighs 1.5 kilograms and features a specially-designed hand strap for improved comfort while on the move. In addition, the CF-H1 MkII has an integrated easel footing so it can sit upright on a trolley, bedside table or desk.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-H1 MkII is $3899.

Panasonic claimed the CF-19 has a screen brightness of 1000 nit, with a circular polarising touch screen and anti-reflection coating to make it easier to read under direct sunlight - ideal for outdoor use and has a magnesium alloy frame with shock-absorbent damper encasing the hard drive.

The unit can withstand knocks, heavy vibrations and sharp temperature fluctuations, as well as survive falls from up to 1.8 metres, according to Panasonic.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 is $5499.

Replacing the Toughbook 30, the CF-31 features an 3.1 inch XGA, 1,100 nit touchscreen with circular polarising touch screen and anti-reflection coating and has the option of a 3D graphics display thanks to an ATI Radeon HD5650 card, Panasonic claimed.

Processing power comes in the form of the Intel Core i5 Processor and a Windows 7 Professional operating system.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 is $6099.
