Office technology retailer OfficeWorks has added 3D printing to its catalogue, with the service launched at a Melbourne CBD store.
Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle was one of several celebrities who launched the 3D Experience Centre at the retail chain's Russell Street branch.
OfficeWorks claimed to be the first "major Australian retailer" to bring 3D printing to everyday consumers. The offerings include printing services, printers for sale, pre-printed products and Mini Me, a 3D photo booth that prints a "life-like" statue of the customer.
