Who are your main cloud vendor partners?
We develop our own cloud Infrastructure as well as use Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services where needed. We have direct, high-speed connectivity to both providers. We also consult in the Rackspace environment for particular customers.
When did your company first get involved in this area?
We are going on two years now with a team of cloud specialists with well over 70 years of experience between us.
Which certifications and/or credentials do you have that apply to cloud?
Our technicians have various levels of AWS training, as well as general IT certifications from more traditional vendors.
Have you heard of any cool or interesting recent developments in the cloud space?
We are developing our next-generation cloud product which can give super-fast SSD speeds of 600+ I/O per GB. It also overcomes many traditional HA cloud architectures with ‘on-the-fly’ system resource changes without service and system disruption. We also support OpenStack and other orchestration platforms.
Can you tell us about a recent cloud deployment you have done?
Our company was established to help people with what we call cloud ‘data injection’, or the transfer of large amounts of data into many different cloud platforms. Currently, we are planning a transfer of up to 150 TBs for a single customer to a cloud platform in a very short timeframe.
What is driving customers’ cloud projects?
Price, security and flexibility. People want the cloud to fit into the way they do business and enable their business to develop with the changing market.
