Security vendor Trend Micro has boosted its SMB and channel coverage across New Zealand with the appointment of Matthew Hadlow. Coming into the position of SMB channel and alliance manager for the region, Hadlow arrives at Trend after eight years within Oracle’s sales and channel team.
Hadlow has experience of the New Zealand channel and within his new role will have to work in collaboration with and continuing to build on Trend Micro’s strong relationships with its distributors and resellers, while also developing stronger strategic alliances.
Lionel Phang, director of Trend Micro APAC said: “The appointment of Matthew Hadlow further strengthens our team in New Zealand and places additional focus on the development and maintenance of our robust channel relationships. His strong background and experience of the channel in New Zealand and Australia make him a very valuable asset to our team” he said.
Hadlow said: “Trend Micro has an extremely good reputation in the industry, which was probably the biggest drawcard for me taking on this position. Its products are regarded as innovative and reliable. Most importantly, security experts I have spoken with will always recommend Trend Micro.
“This role represents the opportunity to further develop and grow the company’s business in New Zealand and that is something I’m really looking forward to doing. I have also been given the autonomy to manage the business here while also having the advantage of a strong support team,” added Hadlow.
