Modality: Microsoft Teams is the ideal hub for teamwork

We speak to country manager Justin Morris.

What unified communication brands and services do you specialise in?

We specialise in Microsoft tools and offer end-to-end solutions for communications and collaboration to help companies maximise utilisation, maintain a reliable environment and develop it for the future.

When did your company first get involved in this area?

We have been a trusted global partner of our clients in collaboration and communications since 2007, and have been operating in Australia since 2014.

What certifications and credentials do you have that apply to UC and collaboration?

We hold Microsoft Gold competencies in communications and cloud productivity. We (Cloud Collective) won a Microsoft Australia partner award in 2017 and were awarded Microsoft worldwide partner of the year 2017 finalist for communications and partner of the year 2016 winner for communications.

Who are your distribution partners for UC?

Arrow, Transition Systems Australia, Ingram Micro and Auroz.

Have you heard about any interesting development in the enterprise UC space recently?

Microsoft Teams is the latest addition to the collaboration suite in Office 365. A chat-based workspace, Microsoft Teams is the ideal hub for teamwork and we've already helped a number of our innovative clients get started with our strategic consulting and adoption services.

Can you tell us about a recent UC deployment you have done?

We enabled BPAY to create an ‘office of the future’, with activity-based working, flexible working arrangements, an Office 365 phone system and Modality’s managed services.

What is driving customers’ collaboration projects?

There are two drivers: the first being an initiative from business leaders to change the culture in their organisations, a change which is enabled by advanced collaboration tools, and the second being rationalisation of IT assets by decommissioning legacy PABXs and moving services to the cloud.

Unified communications and collaboration is …

An interactive experience between multiple people, on the move, at any time and on any device. This leads to a more effective business, with our research showing that 65–75 percent of people say they would never give up UC, and that it results in technology cost savings of almost 60 percent and an average daily time saving of 28 minutes per team member.
