Content management company Interwoven has announced the appointment of Stephen Walker as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, indicating a move to establish a greater presence in the region.
Based in Sydney, Walker has over 20 years experience in building regional enterprise for a range of enterprise software providers. He also brings his own expertise in the content management market covering business, technology, sales and project execution.
More recently, Walker held the position of general manager sales – Asia for Objective Corporation, where he acted as head of content management vendor’s sales and service delivery in New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and New Zealand. In six years he established partner relationships in the New Zealand Market and set up offices in Brisbane, Perth and Wellington.
“Stephen has the results-oriented track record that we were looking for in our managing director for the Australian and New Zealand market,” said James Murray, Vice President – Asia Pacific at Interwoven.
“His proven ability to successfully drive product and solution adoption makes him an excellent fit with both our existing regional team and, most importantly, our customer and partner base.”
Walker began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in accounting and corporate services. He has also held a variety of business development and sales management positions in the workforce management, retail, legal publishing and residential construction sectors.
