Dicker Data has thrown its weight behind NextDC’s channel push in Australia.
The distributor will offer “affordable” access to NextDC’s data centres to its SMB partners, pitching the offering as a way for resellers to take their first steps into cloud and co-location.
Partners will be able to buy quarter racks up to multiple full racks.
While Dicker Data is known for its extensive hardware partnerships, the distie's chief executive officer David Dicker said the NextDC move is the “next step” in the company’s cloud solution sell.
“We currently hold a strong share of the server market and we’re now able to give our partners a place to put that kit on a consumption basis," he stated.
NextDC described the combined offering as "customised data centre deployments".
NextDC chief executive officer Craig Scroggie said: “Together, we will enable the Australian channel by offering the ideal package for anyone considering a move to public or private cloud computing solutions co-located with their own infrastructure.”
