Fledgling cloud service provider Cloud Lands has announced services and data centre access agreements with Fujitsu Australia.
The 10-month old firm has signed a Master Services Agreement that will see Fujitsu supply IT services and on-going support.
The partnership will also give Cloud Lands access to Fujitsu’s Perth data centre from 1 December under a second agreement. Cloud Lands is also in negotiations to access Fujitsu’s Melbourne data centre.
The announcement follows Cloud Lands' very public arrival in the local market, with the announcement this year that ASX-listed mining company Resource Star had secured an option to buy the startup.
Founded by Request DSL co-founder Ross Smith, Cloud Lands has previously outlined plans to provide enterprise grade cloud services to the small-to-medium business market.
The service uses a Cisco, VMware and EMC-based Vblock platform from VCE, and will also involve a "pre-eminent" global security equipment and software supplier.
