Data#3 has announced the retirement of one of its founding directors, Mark Esler, after 30 years of service for the ASX-listed reseller.
"Thirty years is a life’s work and Mark leaves confident of a bright future for the company to enjoy time with his family," said managing director John Grant in a statement. "He can quite rightly feel very proud of his achievements."
Esler's latest role as Queensland general manager will be temporarily filled by Ray Merlano until a replacement is found.
Esler began his career at IBM in 1976 and joined Data#3 in 1984. He has held both sales and operations roles with the company.
"His experience, calm and considered thought will be sorely missed," Grant said.
Data#3, one of the biggest resellers in Australia, last month announced a 62 percent reduction in net profit for the first half of the year.
