Dicker extends HP deal
David Dicker.

Dicker Data has extended its long-standing distribution agreement with HP into printer consumables and supplies.

The deal, effective immediately, represents the culmination of ten year’s work on behalf of the distributor, said chief executive David Dicker, in a statement.

“We now have the entire HP range,” he said. “It should provide for a material increase in sales [at Dicker Data] for the next financial year. I am very happy with the outcome.”

Back in February, Dicker borrowed $20 million from Macquarie Bank to fund its HP purchases. The company also indicated it could use the money for other vendor inventory down the track.

The company did not provide additional comment.
