iiNet has partnered with Cisco to sell routers and later switches and IP phones to small and medium businesses.
Three Cisco routers are on offer; the RP 527W-K9G4,for $429; the 877-M-K9, for $799; Cisco 877W-G-A-M-K9, for $899.
iiNet claimed it will "work closely" with partners including integrator Kytec to assist with advanced configuration and set-up.
A spokesperson for the company said iiNet has 200 agents nationwide. "For larger, more complex installations iiNet's preferred partner is Kytec.
iiNet will also provide a business support helpdesk for the CIsco routers.
"iiNet is set to become a major player in business communications," said Stephen Harley, iiNet's general manager for business.
"With Cisco Small Business Pro 500 series routers we believe we now have the best business communication offering in Australia," he said.
Businesses can access built-in firewall security, port forwarding, remote network access and the ability to control network access, iiNet claimed.
"iiNet shares our commitment to helping small businesses utilise technology to enhance business processes and performance," said Sara Adams, director of commercial business for Cisco Australia and New Zealand.
New customers can buy hardware when signing up for an iiNet business broadband account. Existing customers can also purchase through iiNet's Toolbox online menu.
iiNet plans to offer other Cisco small business technology, including Cisco Small Business smart switches, IP phones and wireless routers to its customers in the future.
