Automation systems and artificial intelligence (AI) integrator xAmplify has secured a contract as the primary IT managed services provider (MSP) for the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO), the company said.
The initial three-year agreement, valued at over $7 million, was awarded through a competitive tender process with the work being done in collaboration with Canberra firm A23, for infrastructure and cloud services.
Tom Scicluna, chief operating officer at xAmplify, pointed to the company's vision to modernise the sector with an agile, automation-first approach as a driver for the contract win.
"This contract with the ANAO validates our vision to challenge traditional IT managed services models," Scicluna said.
"Our innovative approach focuses on maximising client value and efficiency through a contemporary and adaptable operating model which is underpinned by smart technology," Scicluna added.
xAmplify's service model offers a sovereign, Australian-owned solution.
Key features of their approach include agile and automated processes for collaborative prioritisation and enhanced transparency and control for customers.
xAmplify also brings a strong focus on automation to reduce operational costs, along with mechanisms for ongoing cost reduction and increased enhancement activities to the contract.
"The partnership between A23 and xAmplify exemplifies a new way of working that focuses on talent, collaboration and true value for government," Natalie Legg, chief executive officer of A23 said.
The transition period is already underway, with xAmplify and A23 teams set to fully assume their role as ANAO's MSP by 31 October 2024.
xAmplify merged with CSO Group in Perth in June this year, setting up Sydney headquarters.
