Business integration software vendor, webMethods has broadened its channel strategy and introduced a new certification method to attract partners.
Previously, the company sold its software direct and relied on its partners to provide support to customers, said Paul Henaghan managing director A/NZ at webMethods.
“In the past we were focused on getting our business up and running. Now we want to look at expanding our services and go into consultancy through our channel partners,” he said.
“The introduction of a new certification program ensures current and new partners receive a uniformed training course.”
The webMethods Fabric 6.5 certification program offers certification in a number of areas including; B2B developer; EAI developer; BPM developer; operations specialist and architect.
Training would be conducted online and partners could spend a fortnight to three months in study for accreditation.
Current local partners include, Anatas, HubCo, Customware Asia Pacific, Ness Technologies, Vanguard Integration, Wipro Technologies, Tata Consulting Services and GXS.
