Effective immediately, Unixpac will distribute TriGeo products to resellers in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace.
TriGeo provides real-time security information management (SIM) appliances that identify, notify and respond to suspicious behaviour, policy violations, and network attacks.
Tom Piotrowski, managing director of Unixpac, said corporations concerned with protecting critical resources have created sophisticated layered security, or defence-in-depth systems that combine firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, anti-virus and other security products.
“The problem is that these tools generate a tremendous volume of raw data that's difficult to read and impossible to analyse in real-time without automation,” he said. “There are several vendors covering the SIM space today. However TriGeo takes a proactive look into defending the network.”
According to Piotrwoski, TriGeo's Security Information Manager product identifies, notifies and responds to network attacks, suspicious behaviour and policy violations. He claimed that it is one of the only products on the market that combine real-time correlation with automated remediation.
“This technology can block, quarantine, route and manage processes, services and accounts with either automated or “point and click” response,” he said. “It integrates existing network security products and operating systems and collects their data in real-time, then aggregates, correlates, and filters the data into a central control console.”
TriGeo's patent-pending technology also defends the network with around 600 targeted correlation rules and dozens of active responses that include the ability to quarantine, block, route and control services, processes, accounts and privileges, said Pitrowski.
