For each major milestone the company has reached during a year ending in eight, it plans to offer a triple bouquet of incentives which include the number eight.
In addition to the standard rebate programs offered by Trend Micro, when channel partners sell any of the products of InterScan Messaging Hosted Security and TMMA exceeding a total of 200 seats, they earn an extra 8 percent rebate.
Channel partners can also get US$800 cash rewards on orders placed before December 30, 2008.
“As we pass through this milestone, Trend Micro is excited to be able to reward its partners through the benefits of the 888 program. Trend Micro would not have been able to achieve the success it has without the partnerships it has forged along the way,” said Adam Biviano, key partner and alliance manager, Trend Micro.
According to Eva Chen, co-founder and CEO Trend Micro, each of the major milestones the company made during its 20 years occurred during a year ending in eight. For example its first Web-based Centralized Management - Trend Micro Control Manager came out in 1998.
In a statement to employees Chen thanked all their customers, partners and employees who are a part of Trend Micro’s 20-year history.
She said: ‘Twenty years ago, a small group of us realized the potential harm that could be caused by something not well understood at the time: a computer virus.
'While no one could predict the impact it would have, we made it our mission to build the best solution to the problem. It remains Trend Micro’s mission today.
‘We look forward to making history in the next 20 years and beyond.’
