SkypeIn’s Aussie launch
VoIP provider Skype launched a service that gives users the own personal number for inbound IP calls.

Users of "SkypeIn" are given their own personal number to receive inbound calls from ordinary phones to Skype on their computer whether they’re at home or on the road.

A free Skype voicemail subscription is included with SkypeIn, which lets users receive voice messages on their Skype account when they are busy or send voicemails to any other Skype user.

Niklas Zennström, co-founder and CEO of Skype said SkypeIn provides an alternative way to use the service.

He said its Australian division had a large community of Skype users with 68 percent continuing to use the service since its launch here six months ago.

A SkypeIn with free Skype Voicemail for a 12 month subscription for $50 month subscription, and a three month subscription costs $16.
