Simms and Ironkey expand partnership

Simms International has expanded its distribution agreement with IronKey to include its full range of products in Australia and New Zealand.

The pair signed an agreement in January where Simms covered IronKey's personal products in Australia only. At the time, Duo International said it retained exclusive distribution of Ironkey enterprise products.

Ironkey makes USB flash drives with built-in encryption.

Additionally, Simms said it has launched a partner program targeted at corporate and security specialist resellers that service the financial, healthcare and government markets.

Danny Moore, Australian managing director at Simms, said the risk of data loss for organisations is a real threat.

"Many of the larger developed countries like the UK and US have imposed strict penalties on data breaches, and the failure of companies to disclose these breaches. It highlights how critical and costly data breaches can be for high-profile organisations."

Simms' "depth of relationships with channel partners will broaden IronKey's reach in the region," said Travis Patterson, IronKey's senior vice president of sales.
