CA has launched a new four tier channel program to support its Internet Security Business Unit (ISBU) that went live in Australia in October last year.
Senior vice president and general manager, George Kafkarkou (pictured), told CRN that partners were key to the ISBU's growth.
“We are very excited about the future but we live and die by the success of our partners. They are so influential because they have a relationship with the customer,” he said.
He added that resellers who had recently joined up to their online training program had received iPhones as an incentive. Kafkarkou claimed that online certification to sell CA solutions can be achieved by resellers in under five hours.
CA creates security solutions to protect PC users across the spectrum, from the enterprise down to home users. The vendor offers a range of software including threat management, anti-virus, anti-spyware, secure content management and a host-based intrusion prevention system to protect against ID theft.
Christopher Hickey, vice president of sales and marketing, claimed CA is a 100 percent channel business dedicated to helping its partners generate new sales opportunities.
“We are putting more investment into research, development and introducing more products. We are trying to make it easier to sell our products and offer more profitability for the reseller,” he said.
CA works with Insight Enterprises and two distributors; Ingram Micro and Express Data.
