Samsung has unveiled two new colour printers aimed at small and medium sized-businesses (SMBs) and remote offices of larger enterprises.
The CLP-620ND and CLP-670ND models are high quality and easy to use, according to the firm, and include several features designed to save energy and costs.
The printers can save paper and toner using duplex and 'draft mode' printing, and a Power Save button automatically sends the device into sleep mode to save power.
"SMBs in today's market are concerned about reducing costs and minimising the impact they have on the environment, but they don't want to sacrifice high performance," said Kiran Sanghera, business-to-business print product marketing manager at Samsung.
"With these new colour printers, SMBs have greater control over their printing costs, along with increased ease of use and high printing performance. "
Print speeds run up to 24 pages a minute, while the models use 700MHz CPUs and are able to boot up from start mode and begin churning out pages in 20 to 25 seconds. Samsung said that this could prevent staff having to wait for documents to emerge.
The printers will be available later this month. Pricing information has not yet been released.
The printers will be launched in Australia in the first quarter of 2010.
