Australian-born distributor Nextgen has launched a new service around key partner, Oracle, to support a “swathe” of new products the vendor is bringing to the Australian market.
The Oracle Cloud Centre of Excellence is an enablement hub through which Nextgen will continue to invest in Oracle’s cloud transformation, according to Nextgen group chief executive John Walters.
“Our aim is to continually push the envelope on value-added distribution in the channel through our mantra of ‘distribution reinvented’,” he said.
“As such, we look forward to welcoming our partners into the centre, where they will find a space well-equipped to help them and their customers to get insights, education and enablement on Oracle’s ‘journey to the cloud’ strategies.”
The centre will be housed at Nextgen’s new offices in North Sydney, and provide a space where partners can access the distributor’s vendor specialists, Oracle product sets, sales plays and product demonstrations.
Oracle practice lead for Nexgen James Cunial said the centre will seek to help partners selling Oracle technology upskill and stay competitive, as the vendor rolls out new products.
“Right now Oracle is refreshing every product from the ground up, across their whole portfolio. It’s easy to feel like there is a new product or offering on a weekly basis,” he said. “There's so much coming up, it can be hard to keep track and up to date.
“We felt there needed to be a space where our partners can upskill.”
The centre launches after Nextgen was recognised by Oracle as global cloud value-added distributor of the year at Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco in October.
